Identifying and repairing dryrot before it spreads, then sealing with new stucco or plaster.

Dry rot behind stucco usually starts where water gets in: around windows, doors and decks, and at the base of walls. We open the wall, replace the rotted framing and sheathing, and close it up with new lath and stucco matched to the rest of the wall.

Dry rot often turns up in the middle of a stucco repair or re-stucco, so it is handled by the same crew instead of a separate trade.

FAQ

Frequently asked.

How do I know if there is dry rot behind my stucco?

Common signs are stains, cracks or soft spots in the stucco near windows, doors and decks, and paint that keeps failing in one area. A site walk is the way to know for sure.

Do you fix the stucco after the rot repair?

Yes. We close the wall with new lath and stucco and match the finish so the repair blends in.

Do you serve my city for dryrot repair?

Yes — we serve all of Marin County (San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Sausalito, San Anselmo, Fairfax, Larkspur), San Francisco, the East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Richmond), Hillsborough on the Peninsula, and the Wine Country (Napa, Sonoma, St. Helena, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa).

How fast can you provide an estimate?

We will respond as soon as possible to every inquiry. After a quick walkthrough or set of plans, we send a detailed written estimate — no surprises, no upselling.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes. CA Lic. #973914, fully bonded and insured. Certificates of insurance available on request before any work starts.
